The 4th WWEC event that took place in Latvia, Pļaviņas last weekend has come to an end. Winter windsurfers from Latvia and Lithuania participated in “WWEC 2010 Mežezers” and had fun in all the ways possible in the sports complex “Mežezers”. Also Jarno Rautio, the organizer of WW European Open, had arrived from Finland and assisted in the judging process. Read the rest of this entry »

Notice of Race
Quite a snowstorm for the first competition day of the 4th WWEC event. Intensive racing in the slalom discipline – 9 races but we hope for more races tomorrow if the wind conditions are appropriate. So far the leader in overall group is Latvian rider Janis Preiss, followed by Aleksandrs Leontjevs and Lithuanian Andrius Sliuburys. Few racers have brought their ski-sledges thus there might be also some course racing tomorrow. Now it is time to enjoy other winter sports here in sports complex Mežezers – snowboarding and skiing…
