Winter Windsurfing European Open 2012 was organized in Kalajoki, Finland, on 15.-18.3.2012. The event gathered 54 participants together from 6 different countries. Classes and disciplines were Sailboard & Wing Course, Sailboard & Wing Slalom, Kite Course and Kite Freestyle and GPS Speed Race for all classes.

This year the event constructed from overall, masters, women and youth divisions. Getting so many divisions competing rizes the big hope of getting more and more enthusiasts involved with winter surfing activities and events. From this point of view the future of the sports looks bright!
